Jeffrey n. Walker
Jeff is the associate managing editor for the Joseph Smith Papers project of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He is also the manager and volume editor for the Legal and Business Series of the Joseph Smith Papers project. He is an adjunct professor at the J. Reuben Clark Law School and Church History and Doctrine Department in the College of Religion at Brigham Young University. Jeff is the trustee and treasurer for the Mormon Historical Sites Foundation and the managing editor for Mormon Historic Studies.
Jeff has spoken and written widely on Church history, specializing on Joseph Smiths business and legal affairs. He is often a feature scholar on the KJZZ television series on the Joseph Smith Papers project, at BYUs Education Week, the Mormon History Association Annual Meetings and history symposiums throughout the country. His recent published articles include, Mormon Land Rights in Caldwell and Davies County and the Mormon Conflict of 1838: New Findings and New Understandings, BYU Studies 47, No. 1 (2008), Oliver Cowderys Legal Practice in Tiffin, Ohio, Oliver Cowdery: Days Never to be Forgotten (BYU Religious Studies) Ch. 11 (fall 2009) and John Taylor: Beyond A Poor Wayfaring Man of Grief, Champion of Liberty: John Taylor (BYU Religious Studies) Ch. 4 (winter 2009).
